We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Coordinator to support the Head of Department in Co-ordinating and supervising a range of activities and staff in the Curriculum Area in their capacities as Lecturers, Personal Tutors, Course Leaders, Technicians and Learning Support Assistants. Responsible for ensuring the success of all students in the department.

In this exciting role you will have responsibility for the Coordinate the Pilot programme for Non EHCP Learners in conjunction with Surrey Choices. support course teaching team in promoting for each student in the Curriculum Area the highest standards of curriculum deliver.

In this role you will ensuring that students on courses and in tutor groups within the Curriculum Area receive appropriate support and that referrals are made in accordance with College procedures.

 

The successful candidate must have:

  • Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
  • This is a teaching and coordination role
  • Experience in teaching and engaging learners who have not thrived in education 18+ 
  • Creating a lively and engaging learning environment   
  • Able to deliver employability key skills and knowledge of barriers to learning and work
  • Able to build effective working relationships so that learners feel valued and listened to
