MIS Data & Compliance Officer

 

We are currently seeking an experienced MIS Data & Compliance Officer to join our MIS team.

 

Location: East Surrey College (Redhill) with some some travel to John Ruskin College (Croydon)

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)

Hours: Full time (37 hours/week)

Contract Type: An 18 month Fixed Term Contract 

 

You will be joining the Management and Information Services (MIS) team at an exciting time and will provide crucial performance data to support the College to achieve its key strategic priorities. 

 

You will assist in the preparation of error free ILR data and will submit accurate and timely data returns, in line with requirements of funding agencies and monitoring bodies. You will also have responsibility for the financial tracking of 16-18/adult/HE/apprenticeship/traineeship contracts against profiles and have, or develop and maintain, an in depth knowledge and understanding of the datasets used by the Group’s funding bodies, as well as of funding rules and methodologies. 

 

You must have significant experience using a student records system and of working on government data returns for post 16 funded learners, preferably with apprenticeships and traineeship data. Coupled with at least a basic understanding of UK funding methodology and a relevant qualification at Level 3 or above.

 

You will be passionate about using data to drive forward improvement, as well as being a strong communicator with excellent IT and analytical skills. You will also need to have the ability to work pro-actively to ensure that reporting is highly accurate, credible and meets the needs of the users.
