College location:                East Surrey College (Redhill)

Salary:                                £24,071 - £34,282 (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)

Hours:                                 Full time (37 hours/week) or Part-Time (2-3 days/week)

 

We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic SEND Lecturer to join our friendly and professional Life Skills department.

 

Working closely with the Curriculum Manager and the rest of the Life Skills team, you will have the chance to share your knowledge and skills with learners to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College. You will act as a personal tutor, promote attendance, participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development and review activities within your subject area.

  

The successful candidate must have:

  • Experience working with Learners with Special Education Needs & Disabilities (SEND) or a background in Youth Work
  • A full UK recognised teaching qualification (such as a PGCE, DTTLS or Cert ED)
  • Maths & English GCSE at Grade C or above (or Level 2 equivalent)
  • A self-motivated attitude with exceptional organisational skills and innovative approach to enthuse our students to succeed
