Hours:                                 Full time (37 hours/week)


We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Curriculum Co-ordinator – ESOL & EFL to support within our MET department.


In this exciting role you will support the Head of Department in Co-ordinating and supervising a range of activities and staff in the Curriculum Area in their capacities as Lecturers, Personal Tutors, Skills Practitioners and Technicians.


You will help organise the efficient day to day running of the department, whilst ensuring that the student experience is maintained for all learners. You will plan learning programmes for students and guide them through the learning process. You will also carry out staff observations, maintain accurate records, support with timetabling and promote attendance.


Alongside these responsibilities you will also still act as a personal tutor and personally deliver an agreed amount of teaching hours.


The successful candidate must have:

  • A full teaching qualification
  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Knowledge of relevant subject curriculum
  • Experience of co-ordinating a subject area or acting as a course leader
