Hourly pay rate:                 £20.61/hour (£17.88/hour + £2.73/hour as payment for annual leave)

Hours:                                 Flexible (zero-hours) but up to full time hours are available

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Sessional Assessor to join our successful Construction Department.

 

This role for the College essentially involves visiting learners in the workplace to assess their knowledge and learning for Construction and Built Environment courses up to and including level 5.

 

Your duties will also include; conducting practical assessments, monitoring and tracking progress, training and assessing and delivering the underpinning knowledge requirements of the qualification within the workplace. A key function of this role is to build strong relationships with those in the Construction industry on behalf of the College. The post holder will need to ensure that work placements are safe environments conducive to learning.

 

Successful candidates must:

  • Be qualified to a least level 4 (ideally level 5)
  • Hold a Certificate/Award in assessing
  • Have proven industry experience in the relevant field (Construction and/or Built Environment)
  • Have a full clean UK driving license and be willing to use your own vehicle for work purposes as the role will involve travelling to local businesses
  • Have excellent administrative and IT skills
  • The ability to plan and deliver a flexible workload

 

It is desirable for candidates to hold a Certificate/Award in Internal Quality Assurance and a teaching qualification.

 

You will have a passion for high standards, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good time management and proven experience of providing outstanding support for learners.
